NextBook

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

NextBook is an app for tracking what you read and finding what to read next. This policy explains what the NextBook apps for iPhone and Android and the getnextbook.com website collect, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.

What we collect

We don't collect your location or contacts, and we don't use advertising or third-party analytics.

How we use it

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.

Who processes it

We use these service providers to run NextBook. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

What others can see

Your profile, shelves and activity are visible to others as your privacy settings allow. You can change who sees them in the Privacy section of the Profile tab at any time. A link you share shows the profile or book it points to.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account in the app: open the Profile tab and tap Delete Account at the bottom. This permanently removes your account, library, reviews, history, photos and devices, and your sign-in identity. We keep only your account ID and the time it was deleted, so the account can't be recreated by mistake, and usage records with no link to you. See Delete your account for details.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run NextBook.

Children

NextBook isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
